The Chapel of
Sts. Athanasius & Cyril of Alexandria
The icons of the new Chapel of St. Athanasius the Apostolic
and St. Cyril, the Pillar of Faith, were written by the Iconographer Ashraf
Fayek Gerges.
Ashraf has also written all of the icons in the main church of St. Mark.
These icons, in the above shown iconostasis, central sanctuary
wall as well as the dome, were completed during the Summer of 2007. As these
icons were being written, digital pictures were captured at each stage. To view

All of these icons, as well as the altar, were consecrated by
H. H. Pope Shenouda III on August 21, 2007. To view pictures of the Consecration
